Old Year's Night: Emerald City

Over the years, my Old Year's Night posts have become the readers' favorite. I am back again with yet another list of fabulous dress. Fun fact: I have never been out on the town for NYE. I've always ended up in church. Not that that's a bad thing, I've just never had the opportunity to get fancy for a NYE celebration. I totally live vicariously through you all. Maybe one day I'll do something festive on NYE. But until then, I'll keep fantasying about what I'd wear on such a night.

If you know me, then you'd know that I hate blending in. I have always picked dresses that A, I would definitely wear. And B, that would get me noticed and make the insecure feel uncomfortable when I walk into the room. Emerald green is so hot for the holidays. While everyone else will be in red and black, you'd be enamored in emerald. So go ahead, make a statement and stand out! How regal is this color? Sequins, mattes, velvets, and sheen, I think I have you all covered across the board. From form fitted to flowy drapes, this color is absolutely stunning in any style.

So there you have it! My favorite five picks for a fabulous New Year's Eve. Let me know what you think of them. Leave a comment below and share your thoughts. If you wear one of these dresses, please tag me on Instagram so I can share how great you look.

Here's to a fab and fashionable NYE!

  2. I'm loving these choices!! I saw the dresses and immediately thought of The Wiz. "You've got to be seen in GREEN" and I said to myself, she's absolutely right. Green would be perfect for ringing in the new year. I'm in favor of A. C. and E. but my choice would have to be E. I know you said blacks and reds will be the predominant color during the festivities, but I also believe golds and silvers will be in full swing too. So, I think the Tony dress will be the one that stands out the most. As far as your evening at church, that's my usual hangout as well, but this year, I was informed that we are having our service at 7pm. Ha! Praising the Lord til 9 pm and then going out with the girls (who are all coincidentally from church). But, just because you're going to be with church family at 12 am doesn't mean you can't wear your party clothes. Go on and get decked out. Jesus won't mind.
