Thursday: The Sweetheart
Thursday was my actual birthday and my boyfriend made plans for a fancy dinner. At the last minute, I convinced him to ditch the "uppity" restaurant and go to The Cheesecake Factory. I love that place! Smorgasbord of awesomeness! Why not eat at your favorite place on your special day? He just couldn't wrap his head around the fact that I chose to wear this fit. Was I over dressed? Nonsense! There's no such thing.
I wore this long sleeved body con dress from Asos. Despite it being the end of August, this weather has been submittable for long sleeves and layers. This dress has some stretch but its not that "jersey" stretch. It is very tight in the arms. If your arms are on the larger side, I would bypass this piece. I finished the look with pink and gold wedges and purple earrings. If you follow on Instagram (@lashesandstilettos) then you know that I can't walk in wedges. These are the infamous pair that brought me to my knees, literally. I busted my ass at the end of the night and I doubt that I will wear these shoes again lol. Too bad because they are super cute!

After work I decided to meet up with my girls at one of my favorite restaurants, Kobe. It's a Japanese Steak and Seafood place where you can enjoy sushi or have your food cooked on the hibachi grill. The chef puts on a little show while cooking the food in front of you. For desert, leopard print cake!.. cake!.. cake!.. Courtesy of my grandmother, Cakes By Brenda.
After Kobe, we headed to WOW Cafe for drinks and live entertainment. I finally got the chance to meet one of my Instaboos and fellow DMV bloggers. Secret of Glamd Out Curves came out and showed out! Rocking fitted skinny jeans and a bow tie middrift. Adorned with the same exact hairstyle as me, we looked like twins. I had a blast just laughing, sipping, and having girl talk.
I am loving the Sweats and Heels trend right now! And of course the first person you think of is RiRi. I wanted to be comfortable with an egde and a little glam. My entire fit is from Asos. The crop top is from the straight sizes and I ordered it in a size US 14. I cut the collar off to acheve an off the shoulder look. My pants are from the Curve section and they are a size US 18.

Saturday: The Turn Up
I stepped out with my girls (and guy) to enjoy the DC nightlife. I don't get out much so this was defiantly an excuse to dabble in some club wear. This hot little number is from Luxe Vain Boutique. I loved the print and the neon green. I figure this dress would be a popular piece so I decided to accessorize with pops of neon orange. Just to give the dress some style diversity. I finished the look with nude and orange cutout wedges. Fortunately, I stayed upright the entire night. The one thing I disliked about the dress was the thinness of the fabric. Foundation is a must if you plan to purchage this piece. However, the busy print helped to camouflage my rolls and bumps so it was all good in the hood.
