Healthy Curves: 6 Week Update

Hey hun buns! I hope you all are still going strong on this never ending journey to health. Of course like most, I'm still struggling, and most likely I always will. However, a little struggle doesn't get me down, it helps to put things in perspective. My struggles to health (and in life) helps me to progress, because I know that this is not a space I want to be in forever. When I say "struggle" I am not referring to the numbers on the scale. I am referring to the act that is, applying my efforts into living a healthy lifestyle. We all fall off at times and some days are better than others. As long as we continue try, our actions will become our habits.

As of week six, I am happy to say that I am 13 pounds down. That's about a two pound per week weight lose. Like I said, some days are better that others but I try to be consistent with my choices. Cutting out the junk and processed foods have really helped. I drink a tun of water everyday (even on my unhealthy days). Here are a few of my favorite meals. Even though I'm eating healthier, I refuse to eat like a rabbit.

Fruit and cheese 279 calories (now lets be clear.. This is MEAL not a snack). Because I'm eating every 3 hours, this potion was enough to sustain me for a few hours.

100% Whole Wheat French Toast 190 calories per serving (1 piece)
Batter consist of 3 egg whites, 3/4 cup of skim milk, cap full of vanilla and a cap full of almond extract, and 1tsp of honey (makes 4 servings) Instead of pouring the syrup onto the french toast, try dipping the french toast into the syrup to reduce caloric intake.

Grilled Salmon Salad with Homemade Corn Salsa/Feta cheese crumbles w/Homemade Cornbread Crouton 440 calories.
