Operation Healthy Curves

Hey y'all! *waving* If you follow me on facebook and twitter than you know that on Monday I will start and document my weight loss progress in a bi-weekly segment called Healthy Curves. I'll just pop in every other Monday and give updates on my progress. I don't want to over consume you with weight loss talk, after all this blog is about personal style. What I will do is share my workouts, recipes, tip and photos of my transformation.

For those that do not know I am a mother of two, a 2 1/2 year old and a 7 months. I have yet to shed the post baby weight.. FROM EITHER PREGNANCY smh. My goal is to lose 60 pounds and fit comfortably into my size 16 reg "goal jeans".

To jump start my regimen and stay motivated, I will be doing Mission Slimpossible with a group of friends. I will also be incorporating other things that work for me (I will share everything I'm doing with you).

If you want to join in on this process, email your "before" (current) photo, name, city/state, and your weight lose goals to lashesandstilettos@yahoo.com. I will share your progress along with my own on the blog. Please submit all info by 10/28/12. I will not be accepting any submission after that date.

If you plan on joining me you will need the following by 10/29/12:
  1. A scale
  2. Measuring tape
  3. Large reusable water bottle
  4. A journal
  5. 100 Calorie Ziploc Container (2 4pcks)
  6. My Fitness Pal App
I will give further info on Monday.

Here is what I looked like before my babies. I was in the process of losing weight when I became pregnant. In these photos I was at the half way point in my weight loss. This is what I wish to look like once I lose the weight.
I really hope you decide to join me but if not I hope to help others that may be on this journey. I will keep you guys posted.


  1. I can't wait to see your progress. I've been on my healthy curves journey about 2 months consistently and I've seen a big improvement in my waistline. Good luck to you! My goal is to get everything toned completely up especially my midsection.
