Hello my beautiful Divas! I hope everyone's blessed. I know I am. It's been in min since I've came through with an outfit post. Feels like forever!
I recently strolled into Ashley Stewart (on a whim) and damn near lost my mind. Can you say "heaven!"? I'm loving everything that they have in the store and the sales/clearance racks are off the hook! At one point I had given up on Ashley Stewart because the clothes had become very frumpy. But I must say, they have stepped their game up A LOT. I guess with all of the competition out here, they "kinda didn't" have a choice. It's funny because as I was shopping, I overheard a conversation between an employee and a customer. The employee asked the customer (who was an older lady), "Where have you been? Haven't seen you in a while." The customer replied "Gurl, I'm just here to pay my bill! I haven't been in here because y'all sell is hoochie mama clothes now." When she said that, all I could think was "..and that's just why this store is giving me life right now" lol. Of course I don't think they have anything in the store remotely close to hoochie wear but it is a lot more trendy. Maybe even age inappropriate for a women of her age, less "8 am service" more "8 pm happy hour". Personally, I don't see anything wrong with that. Now only if Lane Bryant would jump on the bandwagon, we'd be in business.
This is an outfit that I wore to my little cus's 18th birthday party. My boyfriend always tease me about trying to hold on to my youth and I just knew he was going to say something about my get up. Surprisingly, he didn't. I had to fit in with the young folk so I kept it playful and corky. I've never worn a top like this before. I like it. Very tent-like and easy to wear lol.. just plain comfy! Everything is from Ashley Stewart.
